Food Safety Quiz
This food safety quiz holds to six questions on the USDA standard numbers: safe temperatures, the danger zone, and the two-hour rule. Pick an answer and you see immediately where you stand.
The six questions
Six questions, all of them about the numbers the USDA publishes for the kitchen:
- safe internal temperatures
- the danger zone and its limits
- the two-hour rule
Every question on this page has a standard USDA figure behind it. The quiz asks for the figure; the prose around it will not give the figure away. And that is the full scope — this is a kitchen safety quiz about standard numbers, not advice. No nutrition talk, no health claims, just the published figures and where each one applies.
Why the numbers check out
The answer sheet was built twice on purpose. Two authors independently filled the same fixed keys — a question catalog plus a structured table of USDA food-safety numbers — and their entries were compared one value at a time. Across the site, 146 of 146 keys matched, with no factual disputes anywhere in the set. On this page in particular, every answer is the USDA’s standard number, stated as published and nothing more.
Playing it through
Each question puts four options in front of you. Choose one and the result lands at once — right or wrong, with the correct answer displayed either way. After the sixth question comes a review of the full set, question by question, and your best score is kept in your browser for next time. No signup, nothing to install; the whole quiz runs inside this page.
