About Taste Test
Food quizzes whose every answer was written twice, independently, and cross-checked before a single question was generated.
Where the answers come from
One dataset: a question catalog plus structured tables – where dishes come from, their
defining ingredients, the homelands of ten cheeses, the base spirits of the classic cocktails,
the botanical fruit-versus-vegetable verdicts, and the USDA food-safety numbers. Two
independent authors filled in every key blind and the copies were compared value by value:
all 146 agreed. Where a dish’s home country is genuinely contested, both authors independently
named the uncontested region instead – agreement of a rarer kind.
What this site is not
It is not a nutrition guide and gives no dietary advice. The food-safety page repeats USDA
standard numbers and nothing more; for decisions about your own kitchen, the USDA’s own
publications are the authority. The drinks pages quiz facts about wine, beer and cocktails –
they encourage nothing.
What playing costs you
Nothing: no account, no download, no tracking of your answers. Your best score per quiz is
stored in your own browser and nowhere else.
