Cocktail Quiz
Ten classic drinks, each asked against the spirit at its base. This cocktail quiz deals 10 questions, four options apiece, right here in the page.
Ten drinks, one question each
The lineup is ten classics from the back-bar canon, and every question works the same seam: the drink on one side, its base spirit on the other. Ten questions, one per drink. Naming any pairing here would hand you the round before you start, so the drinks stay unnamed until the quiz deals them. If you have ever stood at a bar and wondered what actually anchors the glass, this is that wondering with a score attached.
Behind the answer sheet
The base-spirit calls come from a structured table of classic cocktail base spirits inside the site’s dataset — a dataset filled in twice over. Two authors, working independently against the same fixed keys, entered every value; the copies were then compared key by key, and 146 of 146 agreed with zero factual disputes. A pairing only made it into this quiz because both write-ups, made apart, matched exactly.
How the scoring works
Four options per question, one pick, instant verdict. Right or wrong, the correct base spirit is shown the moment you answer, so each question settles itself before the next is poured. After the tenth, the page reviews the full round — every drink, your call, and the correct one. Your best score is saved in your browser for the next session. No signup, no download; the whole quiz runs in this page.
