Taste Test

Wine Quiz

This wine quiz runs six questions on color, dryness, and the rules of Champagne — facts about the bottle, not tasting notes. Four options per question, with the verdict shown as soon as you choose.

Ground the quiz covers

Six questions, three subjects: where wine’s color comes from, what dryness means on a label, and the rules that govern the name Champagne. These are questions of fact — the kind settled by reference tables, not by palate — and this page keeps to the facts alone. Nothing here recommends a glass; the quiz is about what is true of wine, and that is the whole of it.

The checking that stands behind it

Each answer was reached twice before it was trusted once. Two authors independently completed the same fixed set of keys — a question catalog alongside structured reference tables — and their versions were compared value by value at the end. The result across the site: 146 keys checked, 146 in agreement, zero factual disputes. Anywhere a home country is genuinely contested, both authors answered at the uncontested region level. What you are quizzed on is what both sheets said, one matching the other.

What happens when you play

Every question offers four options. Make a choice and the answer comes straight back — right or wrong, with the correct answer displayed either way. Once the sixth question is done, the review lists the full set so you can see exactly where you landed, and your best score stays saved in your browser. No signup and no download; the quiz runs in this page from the first question to the last.
